We are sustained by our connections with others, nature, and all that lies beyond us. Soen seeks to be a part of this infinite web of relationships through the stories we share.
The term *Soen* (草縁, *Kusa-no-Yukari*) originates from a 10th-century Japanese poetry anthology. “*So*” (草) means “grass,” while “*En*” (縁) conveys “fate” or “karma.” We interpret it as “Dependent Co-Arising,” a concept introduced by a Japanese monk.
