“ART & CRAFT” Tiny Holiday Market with Japanese artists

A small holiday market featuring the works of three Japanese artists curated by Soen will be held at Lilith Rockett ‘s,an amazing local ceramist, studio/showroom in Dec 12th[Sun] !

10am-4pm at Lilith Rockett Ceramics. SE 34th and BELMONT

Of course,you will see Lilith’s amazing collections in person,which would be a very preciouse chance for you.

Folk crafts with Igusa rushes, Kakishibu persimmon tannin dyed envelopes, leggy eye pillows, etc.

These works are rarely seen outside of Japan,and each piece is carefully handcrafted by the artists.

I will be posting each artist's story on Instagram and our website a little by little.I hope that you enjoy the sneak-peak of these world.

Do you remember when I re-started as Soen as an “imaginary” cafe in early 2021?　While the pop-up activity is still prominent, I' m working steadily to combine it with online activities to create a real cafe/multicultural space one day. That' s still the heart of what I'm doing.

If Soen were to open a café, it would probably have a shelf showcasing the works of Japanese artists on the corner.

This market is the present form of such a future.
