Miso and Spirit of words

In my last post, I said that I made two kinds of miso, but this is, to be correct, an experiment to make two kinds of miso out of one.

What does that mean?

First of all, let me explain the meaning of the Japanese word "Kotodama=言霊".

"kotodama" means that the words you say have a soul, and the mysterious power of those words can affect reality in some way.

This concept has been believed in Japan since ancient times, and even today, there is still the idea of "word spirits" that recognizes the magical elements in words.

A good example of this is a book by Masaru Emoto, a world-renowned author known for his book 『Hidden messages from water[水からの伝言] 』.

The author believes that both water and words have energy, and he describes the amazing difference in the crystals of the water that he showed the word "thank you" and the water that he showed the insulting word “idiot! “ This book demonstrates the amazing difference in the crystals of each.

It ‘s totally up to you if you believe in it or not but I'm going to experiment with "Messages from Miso" with the miso I made around the time of this year's big cold大寒.

One jar every day, THANK YOU, I LOVE YOU! And keep telling it.

In the other, I'll say, "You idiot “?! No,my conscience is really sore, so I just don't say anything instead.

Then,

what a difference that would make in the taste!?

Look forward to six months and a year from now.

This is a very steady process, and it's unknown if there will be any obvious changes. I'd be happy to have companies, so if you'd like to join me, please come forward.

No hesitation:) It will be a fun experiment if we all do it together. And if there is anyone out there who can say "idiot " to miso every day, please let us know the results.

I came up with this ideas from lots of people such as plants lovers and farmers telling their love and care to their non-human friends, that grows better than say nothing.

AND,

I totally believe that the power of words which has itw own spirits.
